16. Almonds
Almonds are the perfect quick and easy weight loss snack.
By including a hand or two as a snack, you will also consume a healthy amount of fiber, which will satisfy your hunger, and promote your weight loss.
It is for the best to take them raw, but if you like them a bit salty, you can roast them for a few minutes with sea or Himalayan salt.
17. Home Baked Zucchini chips
Home baked chips are so delicious and easy to make.
However, to keep it healthy, you’ll have to dehydrate your veggies, instead of frying them.
So, here’s a zucchini chips recipe for you, I love making.
They are pretty easier to make:
Just cut the zucchini in thin slices, toss in a little bit of olive oil, Himalayan salt and pepper.
Bake them for 30 minutes on a preheated 230°C. You can do this with almost every veggie you want.

18. Asparagus Bacon Sticks
This yummy snack is one you have to try if you haven’t tried yet.
They’re so easy to make, you just need to roll the asparagus sticks in slices of bacon, and bake them for a few minutes, or just until the bacon gets crispy.
Some fry them in a pan, but believe me they’re much better if you oven-roast them on a baking paper.
Yumm!
However, be careful with how much you eat. Bacon is still a meat source that’s higher in fat and it’s not the best idea to eat it late at night.
19. Cashews
Cashew nuts are nutritionally much the same as other nuts.
They are high in healthy fat, rich in vitamin E and a good source of minerals, particularly magnesium and zinc.
You can have a hand or two, without worrying about your body goals.
20. Celery peanut butter sticks
And last, but definitely not least of my snacks for weight loss, are my celery peanut butter sticks.
Another recipe from my BBB Meal Plan that’s so delicious and crunchy.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- few celery stalks
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- sunflower seeds (optional)
Just spread a thin layer of peanut butter over your celery stalks.
You can sprinkle sunflower seeds over them too, but that’s totally up to you.
This is a low carb snack you have to try or even better prepare for your fit friends, they’re gonna love it!

Great post. I can’t wait to try some of these snacks. My one question is, what are “Paprika sticks” you like to eat your guac with? Are they just red peppers?
Thanks for the great content!
Shirley,
Thanks a lot for the great comment!
Yes, I meant red pepper :)
All of these ideas sound absolutely delicious! I can wait to make some of them! Thank you for sharing.

The green beans and chick peas are they supposed to be eaten Cold? If They are Can I make a lot and Save IT for another day?
I usually buy them fresh, boil them and then put them in the oven.
I guess you can use canned or frozen ones too, but fresh are way better :)
You can maybe boil them, freeze them and use them whenever you need.
Great collection of recipes, thank you. I will try my best to cook some of them for my girlfriend.

Do you have actual recipes for these ideas. Many are quite vague.
Hey Lindsay,
I have recipes for most of them, sorry if they’re a little bit plain :(
If you have any recipe in particular you are interested about, let me know and I’ll do my best to deliver the recipe.
I have the recipes for most of them.
XO,
Monica
I make those Cucumber Circles With Hummus all the time.
It’s a great in between meals
Great read! When you are talking about the blueberry recipe what do you mean by not having them touch when you put them on the cookie sheet? Do you mean like not have them touch each other?
Shayla,
I’m so glad you like the recipes – blueberries are my faves too :)
About that, you should spread them on your sheet so that the blueberry balls are not touching each other. If you arrange them really close, they will stick to each other you will have a hard time parting them.
Hugs & happy snacking :)

I’m not sure of the conversion on the Seeded Crackers. I made them once before and they came out beautifully, but now I’m putting everything in the bowl and noticing there is not enough liquid. 20ml = 4 teaspoons of water, that cannot be right. I remember there being much more liquid. What have I done wrong?
Teena,
I think 2 tablespoons of water will be just fine.
I think they’ll turn out great. The water is used only to soak the flax seeds, so I think it’s enough.
Let me know how everything turned out :)

Oh, and one more question: Did you crush those peanuts in the Seeded Crackers? I’m not sure what I substituted last time. Maybe it was almond flour, but surely they are not left whole.
Teena,
Yes, you should crush the peanuts.
Love,
Monica
Love this. Don’t know why anyone would criticize such wonderful suggestions. Kudos to you for taking the high road.
Erin,
I’m so glad you like the snacks – YAY! :)
Getting positive feedback is what inspires me to keep on posting, so thank you so much.

Hey Monica,
I ‘ve recently started working out for weight loss and these recipes are definitely
going to help save me from my cravings !
Just wondering for the blueberries sevita is not real available where I live so is
there anything you would know that I could substitute it for ???
Thanks a bunchxx
Hey Razan,
I’m so glad you like my healthy snack ideas – YAY!!
Sure, you can substitute the blueberries with almost any berry – strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries. Or you can try it with any other fruit you want.
For the stevia, you can substitute it with organic honey or maple syrup – however, that way you’ll add up on calories, but that’s not a biggie :)
Let me know the combo you did and how it turned out.
Hugs,
Monica
Hey Monica!
Very Inspired with your recipes! However as someone who cannot eat Nuts and isn’t sure about most seeds. Can you recommend any replacements?
Elena,
I am so glad you find my article inspiring – it means the world to me!!
And no worries, there are plenty of healthy snacks you can go for besides nuts and seeds.
For example, you can always try out oven-baked chickpeas – they taste amazing.
Also, veggie chips such as zucchini and green beans are a great way to snack it out while keeping it healthy and low calorie.
My all-time favorite snack would always be cucumber with hummus – love it!
Hugs,
Monica
