  • Buy the whole bird – the whole chicken or turkey is always cheaper than buying it separately.
  • Choose frozen over fresh – it’s always cheaper!
  • Livers – they are full of nutrients but very cheap.
  • Don’t forget the fish – eat tuna in a can, it has the proteins needed and it’s cheep.

Still, they have many nutrients, and they contain the protein needed for the day.

So it doesn’t always have to be meat or fish – make an omelette or an egg salad.

Don’t forget about the whole grains and the beans:

You can buy them frozen because they’re always cheaper, canned –  just look for the ones with low sodium contents, or even better buy them dry and cook them – it’s super cheap!
