You're absolutely right!
That's an amazing tip, and I totally agree an oatmeal is oatmeal, period.
Keep up!

My house has 5 people so 50 bucks a month wouldnt get it. With that being said, I use a lot of the same tips. Find what's on sale and stock that for the week or month. I also use places like Aldi to get my basics. Produce isn't different because it's in a different store and I can spend half what I would at a big box store. Basic items too! Oatmeal is oatmeal. The less processed, the more likely it'll be the same. I do splurge on cheese... But milk is milk.

I have found if you keep it simple and rotate meals weekly it is a lot cheaper and easier to follow your macros and calorie goals depending on what you use to monitor yourself. I also found that if you keep an open mind and plan your meals around what is on sale you can get a lot of healthy food for half the cost. I am able to feed both my husband and me a healthy diet for about 40-50 dollars a month. For example, this week my store had chicken on sale for 79 cents a lb. So I stocked up! Squash was on sale so that was my main veggie of choice, plus some salad and veggies for the salad. My dinner consist of Chicken- Sweet Potato and Roasted Squash with Onions. Breakfast is eggs scrambled with cheese and an apple, ( whichever fruit they had on sale is what I get) and coffee . Lunch is Salad with cooked shredded chicken with bell pepper and tomato. The snacks are Cottage Cheese and Greek Yogurt. All of this cost me $40.00 dollars. If you are trying to eat healthy on a budget things like shrimp and salmon are more of a splurge or item you buy if the store is having a really good sale.
My list
Eggs- 18 count for 2.20
Cottage Cheese- 1.37 for a tub
Greek Yogurt- 4.79 (on sale) for a container
Cheddar cheese 2 for $3 (on sale) I got 1 cheddar for the eggs and 1 mozzarella for my salad
Sweet Potato 4 for $2 ( on sale)
Squash- 5 at 59 cents so 2.95
Apples- 1 bag for 3.99
Iceberg lettuce- 1 head for 99 cents
Romaine- 1 bushel for 1.75
Green Bell Pepper 4 for 1.00 ( on sale)
Tomato- 2 for 3.00
Chicken- 10 lbs at 79 cents

Total- 34.94
With tax it is around 40 dollars

I switched from 0% milk to regular after reading that the low fat has a higher amount of sugar. I grew up on powdered milk and usually added water to the skim milk because of taste! So now I water down the regular milk.

I'm so sorry I didn't help :(
I'll really try my best to improve it...
I know that healthy food is expensive, and we cannot do anything about it, that's so sad.
I'll work on it I promise.

The price of healthy eating is just unreasonable. I have been going to the gym 5 days a week for a year now without the results I was hoping for and decided a healthy eating overhaul was needed for the results I want. My grocery list was very comparable to yours above and was $75 more than what I typically spend and that's only a weeks worth of food! I am at a loss for what I should do to eat healthy at a reasonable price :(
