Most people believe that all exercises are good, safe and effective. After all, it’s exercise—and that has to count for something, doesn’t it? But, there are some exercises, that are bad for you in a way that they transform your body into something you might not like. So, today I am showing you some exercises that are not that good for you, and that you might want to avoid. So fit girls, read very carefully!
1. Side – ABS Exercises
Well, you might want to avoid all the ABS exercises that include your side muscles. This is because these exercises will make your waist disappear. They strengthen your side abs muscles, and that way your stomach will be straight on the sides, and that means that you can say goodbye to the small waist.
2. Upright Row
In this exercise, you stand holding a barbell or weights, in the center, with hands close together, and bring your hands up under your chin. This is an exercise that will build your Trapezius muscles. For me the Trapezius looks gorgeous, but most of the girls don’t like it. So if you are one of them, you might want to avoid this exercise.
3. The Seated Hip & Thigh Machine
Because you’re seated, it trains a movement that has no functional use. And if done with excessive weight and jerky technique, it can put undue pressure on your spine. So if you want to work these muscles, work them, but while standing.
4. Overhead Lateral Triceps Extension
This is an exercise that is great for your triceps, but if you have pain in your elbows, you should totally avoid this exercise, and change it with another.
What is an example of a side ab workout? What workouts should you do to not loose your waistline?
For example Dumbbell Side Bends, or the Oblique Crunches and even the Russian Twist.
These exercises can harm your waist if you want to have a small waist.
Side abs exercises, in my opinion, should be male’s exercises.
Hi! I am loving your blogs !
Question : how would you go about getting rid of the fat on your obliques ?
Hi Marti,
Well, cardio and diet. Aaaand you can still do some oblique exercises, but not to often.
If you are not ruler, than you shouldn’t worry a lot about your waist :)
