Well, when I first saw it I said it was the water bottle of the future.

This amazing piece of technology is a great way to make water a habit, track your water intake and all that packed in this piece of art that looks like a diamond!

  • Glows to remind you to sip up;
  • Calculates a recommended hydration goal based on your personal parameters;
  • Tracks your water intake;
  • Syncs with fitness trackers such as Fitbit, Apple Watch and many more – it even works with my MiFit bracelet;

How It Works

First of all, let’s talk about how it all works.

The Hidrate Spark 2.0 smart water bottle has a sensor stick inside of it that syncs to the accompanying phone app to track your water intake.

That’s the first thing you want to do (after washing it of course), download the Hidrate Spark 2.0 App.

Upon registering, you’re asked to input personal details like your age, gender, height, weight and general activity level.

The best thing is that based on this information the app calculates a recommended hydration goal that’s perfect for you, and helps you reach it on daily basis.

It can even use your location to determine the temperature, humidity and elevation of your surroundings, as well as sync with popular fitness trackers to make sure your goal is customized specifically to you.

What I really like are the notifications which are a bit different from the old and boring notifications – they’re sort of fun.

You will receive them when you begin to fall off track and need to drink more water.

My favorite notification is the water glow though, and it gives you the opportunity to chose the glowing color combination and how often.

I set it to glow whenever I finish my daily goal, 3 bottles a day.

I was a bit confused about the water I drink other than the one in the bottle, for example in restaurants, or when I run I don’t like to carry a bottle with me so I fuel up from little fountains along the way.

Well, the Hidrate Spark team thought about this too so they made an “Add Water” feature in their app.

The size of the Hidrate Spark 2.0 is 24 oz / 710 ml.

The dimensions are 10” high and 2,5” wide.

Note that it’s a bit big for running, it can really mess up with your balance.

However, it’s perfect for the gym, biking, fast walking and hiking – it has a finger loop that fits perfectly hanging on my hiking backpack.

The Hidrate Spark 2.0 is made out of tritan food safe plastic, that is BPA-Free

It’s a type of plastic I just love, softer but feels high quality.

My personal favorite is the teal one I ordered.

It has a flip style lid with pour style mouth piece that prevents leakage.

I love the way it opens with just one press.

As I said, it has a handy finger loop that I just adore.

Starting from backpack pockets, to bike bottle cages, it even fits perfectly in my car cup-holder.

  • How To Wash It

The bottle and the lid are dishwasher safe, so just simply remove the sensor stick from the lid and put the flip lid and bottle in the dishwasher.

The sensor stick requires hand wash only, and you should unscrew it only to change batteries.
